The Ruined Map is a surreal multilingual moving-image work
combining animation, found footage, and experimental film techniques.
Moving between Chinese, Japanese, and English, it follows a Chinese
man who becomes increasingly entangled in the circulation of Western
pornography before eventually working as a translator of pornographic
films in Rotterdam.
Bananas and Twinkies recur throughout the film as comic, grotesque, and bodily symbols, pushing against racialized sexual stereotypes imposed on East Asian men.
Fractured narration, unstable subtitles, mistranslation, and repeated bodily signs bring displacement, dysphoria, loneliness, and desire to the surface.
The film offers no stable destination. It behaves instead like a damaged map: still transmitting, but unable to deliver arrival.

《燃烧的地图》是一部超现实的多语种影像作品，融合了动画、现成素材与实验电影手法。
影片在中、日、英三种语言之间流转，讲述一位中国男性逐渐深陷西方色情影像的传播网络，
最终在鹿特丹成为一名色情电影译员的故事。
"香蕉"与"奶油蛋糕"作为荒诞又带肉体性的符号反复出现于片中，挑衅式地质疑了强加于 东亚男性身上的种族化性刻板印象。
破碎的叙事、游移的字幕、错译的台词，以及反复出现的身体符号，将错位感、性别焦虑、 孤独与欲望一一推至水面。
影片没有提供任何稳定的终点。它更像一张破损的地图：仍在发送信号，却无法引向抵达。
