Untimely 非时

“Untimely” explores body politics through spatial disruption and linguistic drift. The work employs distinctive typography and fragmented letter repetitions to create rhythm, simultaneously presenting fragmentation and a longing for wholeness. The reconfigured temporal structure reveals how trauma distorts the perception of time. Serpentine imagery transforms from traditional symbolism into intimate reflections on pain, peace, and identity. Recurring single-letter sequences challenge linguistic norms while evoking deep-seated bodily memories.

By reconstructing clockwork, serpentine, and religious symbols, “Untimely” creates a space where discipline and transgression, wounding and healing converse with each other. This fractured writing opens new expressive possibilities for marginalized groups, revealing language as a battlefield where normative and non-normative bodies continuously dissolve and reconstitute themselves.
